Description: When held aloft while casting a spell, this extends the duration of that spell by 50%. A spell that lasts four rounds will now last six.

Materials: Golden Plate (24 drams), Imp's Blood/Percipient Essence (10 drams), Rare Earths (4 drams), Pearl (10 carats)

Description: This allows the caster to determine the presence of life in all creatures within his vision. The caster is also able to note connections to the positive and negative material planes. This will also allow him to detect undead. This spell is blocked by more than 10' of stone or 1" of metal. It will not be blocked by stone less then that thick, so can often detect targets behind walls. When activated, this allows 1 turn of use.

SIGILS
Sigils are magical runes. They are a specialized form of glyph, engraved on a mineral or metal and worn like an amulet. They are powered and activated by the unconscious energies of the wearer - they work by focusing this energy.
Anyone may use a sigil, provided they have an intelligence greater than 9, but the sigils themselves must be made for the use of a specific person.
If anyone else besides the person the sigil was made for attempts to use the sigil it has no effect. The sigil may be ‘reassigned’ by a skilled wizard or alchemist using a process costing 1,000 gold pieces.
When the sigil is concentrated on, the energy is focused and causes the effect the sigil is created for. This concentration takes one round. 
Unless otherwise noted, this effect lasts 6 turns. A person may use any sigil twice a day, but this requires a period of rest equal to 36 turns (6 hours) between uses. Attempts to use any two Sigils more frequently will result in unconsciousness lasting 1-6 turns and severe headaches. Sigil creation is enchantment and may be performed by any wizard or alchemist capable of creating potions. (Sigil creation requires the feat Craft Wondrous Items)
